Sagely Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 26, 2026. This page explains how Sagely collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the app.

Sagely is a household meal scheduling app for recipes, scheduled meals, grocery lists, calendar sync, and cooking assistance. This policy applies to Sagely on the web, iPhone, iPad, Mac, widgets, share extensions, and related services.

If you have questions about this policy or want to make a privacy request, contact us at support@sagely.cloud.

Information We Collect

Account information such as your name, email address, profile image, sign-in provider, and authentication session details.

Household information such as household memberships, invitations, shared preferences, and collaboration activity.

Content you add to Sagely, including recipes, cocktails, scheduled meals, grocery lists, pantry items, preferences, notes, uploaded images, imported URLs, chat messages, assistant requests, timer activity, and related metadata.

Device, usage, and diagnostic information such as browser or app type, device identifiers used for notifications or native sign-in, IP address, request logs, error logs, and approximate timestamps.

Google Data

When you sign in with Google, Sagely receives basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile image so we can create and secure your account.

If you connect Google Calendar, Sagely requests calendar access so it can read calendar context for planning and create, update, or remove scheduled meal events that you choose to sync.

Sagely uses Google Calendar data only to provide calendar-aware meal scheduling and calendar sync features. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

Apple Health

If you enable Apple Health integration on iPhone, Sagely can write estimated nutrition for meals you choose to log to Apple Health.

Sagely does not read Apple Health data for this integration. Nutrition values are estimated from Sagely recipe ingredients and serving information, then written only after you choose to log a serving.

Health data from Apple Health is not used for advertising, marketing, or data mining.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide and improve Sagely features, including recipe import, meal scheduling, grocery list generation, household collaboration, reminders, calendar sync, AI assistance, and customer support.

We use account, device, and diagnostic information to authenticate users, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, measure reliability, and keep the service secure.

We may process recipe, scheduled meal, grocery, image, voice, and chat content with service providers that help power Sagely, including hosting, database, storage, notification, authentication, analytics, and AI providers.

AI Processing

Sagely uses AI features to import recipes, edit recipes, draft meals, answer cooking questions, transcribe or respond to voice requests, and generate recipe imagery.

When you use these features, the relevant content you provide may be sent to AI service providers so they can return the requested output. Sagely limits this sharing to what is needed to operate the requested feature.

Sharing and Disclosure

We share information with service providers that operate Sagely on our behalf, such as hosting, database, storage, authentication, email or push notification, analytics, and AI infrastructure providers.

Information inside a household may be visible to other members of that household, including shared recipes, scheduled meals, grocery lists, preferences, and collaboration activity.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Sagely does not sell your personal information.

Google API Limited Use

Sagely use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google Calendar data is used only to provide user-facing calendar sync and meal scheduling features. It is not used to train generalized AI models, build advertising profiles, or target advertising.

Data Storage and Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong account password with your sign-in provider and keep your devices secure.

Retention and Your Choices

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Sagely, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain backups, and enforce our agreements.

You can edit or delete many recipes, scheduled meals, grocery items, preferences, and other records directly in Sagely. You can disconnect Google Calendar or revoke Sagely access from your Google Account permissions page.

To request account deletion, data export, or help with privacy choices, contact us at support@sagely.cloud.

Children

Sagely is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it if required.

Changes

We may update this policy as Sagely changes. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app, by email, or by another reasonable method. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
